Loop

Coexistence and Optimization for LTE-RAN and WAN

The LOOP project addresses coexistence and optimization solutions for legacy and future emerging technologies, including, among others, 3GPP LTE-RAN, WiMAX, and WiFi. LOOP innovations will be evaluated in real test environments that will serve as a basis for evaluating the proof-of-concept and starting platform for commercial department roadmap for market.

IQUADRAT contribution to LOOP project was focused on developing a system-level simulator to investigate the cooperative ARQ algorithms in IEEE 802.11 technology for wireless communication. The work has focused on defining and implementing an environment simulator for LOOP. Specifically, we have developed solutions to connect distributed simulators under a common interface to get a correct visualization of results. The effort was on providing the simulator of a series of improvements that will allow a more agile and quick demonstrations. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) has been implemented to show the results. IQUADRAT was task leader for the dissemination.
