Environmental Sensors for Energy Efficiency
ESEE – Environment Sensors for Energy Efficiency targets markets, where with highly reliable information regarding environmental conditions measures can be deducted, which reduce the use of energy. The research will be performed on several different sensor technology approaches and finally validated in a test environment, e.g. under the environmental conditions of an aircraft or in pilot building provided with HVAC systems. In addition an appropriate sensor network and innovative communication approaches will be investigated and created to enable air management systems to react on information from different sensors.
IQUADRAT will main contribution will be in the Sensor Network Communication in WP4. We will develop novel algorithms for the energy efficient communication among the sensors in the network. We will develop different techniques to enable a reliable and energy efficient delivery of the information between the transmitter and the receiver. IQU will work on cooperative techniques, relaying and opportunistic transmission will be considered in our proposals.
